Natomas Tornado

SOUTH NATOMAS NEIGHBORHOOD.

TINA MACUHA JOINS US NEAR TOP STORIES THIS MORNING, A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN IN THE SOUTH NATOMAS NEIGHBORHOOD.

TINA MACUHA JOINS US WITH DETAILS.

Reporter: HI, MARIANNE.

LOOK AT THIS TREE BRANCH TAKEN OUT FROM THE TORNADO, BUT LOOK BETTER RIGHT UP HERE, BETTER SHOT OF THE TREE.

IT CAME RIGHT THROUGH HERE JUST WEST OF THE NORTH GATE.

YOU CAN SEE ALL THIS TREE DEBRIS SCATTERED ON THE ROADWAY ON THE LEFT-HAND SIDE OVER HERE, MY LEFT, YOU'RE GOING TO SEE THERE'S ROOF DEBRIS ON — DOWN THE STREET HERE.

LOOKS LIKE A BRANCH FELL ONTO THAT FENCE THERE, SO IT'S JUST A MESS.

THIS TORNADO CAME THROUGH AROUND MIDNIGHT.

I KNOW CODE YOU HAVE THE DETAILS OF THE RATING.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT.

IT'S A ZERO RATING UNDER 75 MILES-AN-HOUR.

THIS IS THE DAMAGE THAT IT CAUSED HERE OVERNIGHT.

I CAN'T IMAGINE IF IT WENT THROUGH THE OTHER, YOU KNOW, BACKYARDS AND NEIGHBORHOODS HERE.

SO WE'LL KEEP YOU UPDATED FROM THE — THEY SAY THE PATH LENGTH WAS 3/8 OF A MILE AND LASTED ON THE GROUND FOR FIVE MINUTES IN SOUTH.
